Dear Friends, I've been feeling it lately. Sometimes I go through these valleys and I'm not quite sure what I'm doing. I feel antsy and dissatisfied and anxious without really knowing why. I think it's important to honor these feelings, even though I'd rather skip over them. It's necessary to walk right through the funk rather than trying to avoid it. Still, that doesn't mean it's any fun. We took Woody for a walk around campus and even that felt a little bit better. I tend to get wrapped up in certain things that seem to matter right now, but probably won't matter two or three years from now. And now and again, I just have to let myself do it. You gotta walk through the valley if you want to see the view at the top of the mountain. Have the loveliest weekend! xo, R.

Hello, friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. My parents paid us a surprise visit and it was really lovely to see them. My sister is borrowing my camera right now, so I didn't have the chance to snap any pictures. I have to say that sometimes it's nice to put the camera down and just have fun. That's not to say that I don't love taking pictures (I do!), but it's nice to take a break every now and again. That also means this week's blogs may be light on the pictures. My weekend is starting early since I don't have summer classes on Fridays (Yippee!). And, it's Memorial Day weekend, which means the weekend is even longer. Thank you to all the men and women who have served and are currently serving to ensure the freedom of this beautiful country of ours. Your bravery, courage, and service is certainly not lost on me and I am forever grateful for your commitment. xo

I can hardly believe it, but I am so, so close to being done with my undergraduate career. It seems like the time since I entered college came and went more quickly than the blink of an eye. With that being said, the blog will probably be quiet as I savor my last few moments as an undergraduate and finish up the final few assignments before it's time for me to officially graduate. I can hardly believe I'm standing here and practically done with college. I can honestly say that I never really pictured this moment, but it feels good (and a little sad, too).
