Have you ever seen so much cuteness packed into one tiny animal? The answer is no. You haven't.

Don't you just love life's simple pleasures? I do. Picnicking with fresh banana bread, Starbucks, and a sweet furry fellow is my idea of the perfect morning. xo, R.

Oh, I forgot I have the cutest dog in the world. Just kidding. I didn't forget. But just in case you did, here's four pictures to remind you. I hope your holiday was filled with love and laughter. xo

list fourteen: confessions on a tuesday.

anders

1. I'm getting bangs again. I just decided.

2. I've never seen Titanic. I'VE NEVER SEEN TITANIC.

3. I get unnecessarily nostalgic over series finales. Like, if I think hard enough about it, I will cry.*

4. I like Justin Bieber's song, 'Somebody to Love.' I know. I don't really want to talk about it.

5. I think root beer should be considered a health food (or drink). Right?

6. My productivity flew out the window. About one hour ago.

7. If my bed is unmade, it's an automatic guarantee that I'll just throw my stuff everywhere.

8. Sometimes I wish I had red hair. (Sometimes I always wish that I had longer hair. And freckles. Oh, and glasses.)

*You know how teachers often give out little questionnaires on the first day of school so they can get to know their students? And there's always a question like: "What else should I know about you?" Jeffrey and I decided that, from now on, I should write something along the lines of, "Sometimes I just cry. It's nothing that you have done/will do. (Ignore it.)"

I know. Where are the quirks I promised? Calm down. I'll get to 'em. xo, R.

(You want to take my dog home with you, don't you?)

i'm sorry i'm obsessed with my dog.

ohmygosh.
But he's really cute, right? His ear totally looks like a bat's ear, and I think that makes it about 100,000x cuter than it already was. Plus, he's got that model pose spot-on. And obviously I don't prompt this stuff because a) you can't force that cuteness and b) I've never met a dog that models on command.

In other news, I ate at Leonardo's with Jeffrey today, made chicken noodle soup with him for dinner, and watched American Pickers (our new favorite show). I also pretended to get some work done, then actually got some work done, then watched Maid in Manhattan while I was supposed to be getting work done, and now I'm going to buckle down and get some work done. I think it's time for Thanksgiving break. xo, R.

home.

little man.
{Leaving this little man is going to be tough. Often called: Little Boat, Little Bones, Joe-jie, Lovebug, Anders, Anderson, Andrew, and, of course, Andy.}

Leaving home never gets easier for me. I love being here with my family and my dogs more than anything. Coziness oozes from the walls, and I could hang out with my parents for the rest of my life and be really happy about it. I love college — don't get me wrong — and I can't wait to go back up there, decorate my apartment with my roommates, go to all my new classes, and eat outdoor lunches with Jeffrey. When I leave here, though, I always have an empty feeling . Sure, it dulls as time goes on, and I get used to being at school once again, but it's always there.

Honestly, it makes me feel sad, but at the same time, it brings me a sense of peace. I mean, I'm really, really blessed to have the family that I have, and I know some people aren't so fortunate as I am. So, sometimes the empty feeling hurts, but I count it as a blessing more than anything — a reminder that I have something great anchoring my soul and supporting my dreams. And after that, the hole doesn't feel quite so hole-ish anymore. Plus, I'll be back here before I know it, and that makes me really happy.

my dog is cute.

Laying here in my room watching the Bachelorette episode I missed last night.

Yeah. I love that show. And have been a loyal watcher of the Bachelor/ette since the first season. And I'm darn proud.

My dog's laying here with me. He is the sweetest.

Do I have other things I should be doing right now? Yeah. I do.

Oh, and on a more productive note, I successfully blow dried my hair for the first time last night.

I have absolutely zero coordination when it comes to things like that. I also cannot use a pair of scissors to save my life. I blame it on being left-handed.

Just thought I'd pop in to let you know what's up.

Soon I'll be able to reveal my super-awesome-wonderful-amazing (why am I so humble?!) present for Jeffrey's birthday. I know the anticipation's killing you.

Also, I love avocado. Don't you?

Hope you're having a lovely day. It's just so beautiful out today. Hopefully it is where you are, too.

meet andy. he likes it when I scratch behind his ears. and under his chin, too.

My sweet little guy. I got him for Christmas a few years ago and he is the coziest little man ever. And, yeah, we totally planned to look in opposite directions for this picture. Models.

(Petey, our other dog, is absolutely mortified of the camera, therefore pictures are scarce.)
