Things that make me smile today:

1. Being completely done with one of my classes.
2. Sharing graham crackers & Nutella outside with Jeffrey.
3. Drinking a Tazo Organic Iced Black Tea with lunch.
4. Post-it notes.
5. Finishing an assignment that had me way too stressed out.
6. Seeing the cutest little finch on a Palmetto branch.
7. Cheese & crackers.
8. The Avett Brothers.
9. Studying outside.
10. Seeing Taylor (Jeffrey's brother) in the school newspaper for the millionth time.
11. Unannounced phone calls from my mom.
12. Searching for cake recipes.
13. Happy dreams.

2. Math that I actually understand.
3. Halls Defense cough drops in the Assorted Citrus variety.
4. Peanut M&M's.
5. Exams that make me feel like I'm well prepared.
6. Poems that I actually understand (Goblin Market by Charlotte Rossetti).
7. Flowers and the anticipation of Spring.
8. A Spring Break that is so close I can almost taste it.
9. A poetry teacher who actually gives us meaningful work to complete and actually cares about poetry.
10. Black Ballet flats.
11. Gum.
12. Lemons.
13. College Ruled notebook paper.

Sometimes I'm bad at remembering to be thankful.

Occasionally, I have one of those stressful days. And I just can't seem to shake the feelings that come with it. I find that as I walk to class, I formulate lists in my head — lists of things that make me smile. Except , this time, I'm writing my list down.
