This weekend was full of sunshine, homemade granola + banana bread, school work, and sleeping in. I can hardly believe that March is already here tomorrow. It seems like February flew by. I'm so excited to finally have the time to bask in this sunshine in just a few days. Spring Break, I already love you.

If I have the time, I'll post a few lists of quirks this week. Kind of fell off the bandwagon on that one. Whoops! xo, R.

door county.

Sometimes things happen, and I pause and realize just how good my life is. Our entire trip to Door County was one of those moments. I'll never be able to find the words that describe the sweetness of eating a cherry right off the tree, laying eyes on a beautiful, natural made escarpment, or laughing and loving the people who know me best. Honestly, sometimes life gets hard. Even if you're wearing the rosiest colored glasses, things can feel pretty big. Looking at these pictures just lets me know that the purpose in my life is loving the people I love. I will remember this weekend in Door County fondly for the rest of my life.

Sleeping in tents, playing Settlers of Catan, eating campfire cherry tart, laughing with my sister, trying to learn how to skip rocks, and simply being with family -- those are the moments worth holding onto. Have a beautiful weekend! xo, R.

Dear Everyone,

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I didn't do much of anything, which was nice considering the next few horrendous weeks on the horizon. But, spring break is just around the corner. Eyes on the prize.

On another note, I hope you've had time to follow the protests that are currently happening in Wisconsin. I have some loved ones who live there, one of them a teacher. They have spent the last several days rallying around the Capitol. It amazes me that 70,000 people have banned together to fight for a cause they believe in. It actually gives me goosebumps! As for me, I wish I could be there to stand next to my loved ones. Unfortunately, I'm not. But, I send my support and love to them from a distance.

Jeffrey made that heart pillow for me for Valentine's Day. Isn't is sweet? We decided not to do any gifts this year because we want to take a mini road trip over spring break. He surprised me with this cute little pillow and I can't get enough of it. Have a terrific Monday! xo, R.

a visit to the junk lady.

A couple weekends ago Jeffrey and I decided to take a trip out to the junk lady. It had been quite some time since we'd seen her, so we headed out to her packed dirt land and garage sale treasures on a chilly afternoon. We only left with one thing, but it was well worth it. Awhile ago we found out that the American Pickers were heading to Florida in January. We recommended the junk lady for a stop, and they ended up contacting her! She told us she declined because she didn't think that she really had the kinds of things they were looking for. Plus, she has junk funneling in and out of her inventory all day -- I'm sure she keeps hold of any of the really good stuff. Still, Jeffrey and I were thrilled that she had been contacted at all. It was a good day. We both felt really satisfied when we left because we're pretty sure she remembers who we are now. That basically makes us royalty, or something. Enjoy your weekend! xo, R.

Hi, I hope you all had the chance to go see Sarah's blog and do something special for Maddie (even a thought for her family is special)!

I promised to post something special soon and I will. Right now school is a little crazy and I think it's best that my blog take a back seat. I never want to post anything that I don't think is worth reading and right now I feel like that's what I'd be putting out there.
